ABERRANT SIDEWALK
A public project on the streets of NYC, Aberrant Sidewalk was installed in 5 locations in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, The Bronx and Governor's Island during the summer of 2010.

Creating the effect that the a section of sidewalk broke through the ground and buckled, the sculpture was in place for 2 hours while actors playing amateur scientists took viewer reactions.

These scientists spoke with the public about their membership in the Aberration Tracking Society, a group predicting and tracking aberrations around the city and of their belief that mass anxiety and insecurity in the population caused by current economic conditions was causing the aberrations.
